December 21, 2012: Odawa Casino Hosts Celebrity Poker Tournament To Provide Donations To Toys For Tots

Odawa Casino, owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, recently hosted a Celebrity Poker Tournament to provide donations to Toys For Tots. Poker players had a chance to compete against local celebrities during the tournament. For every person that a celebrity knocked out of the competition Odawa Casino donated $25 cash to Toys For Tots. A total of $350 was gained from knock outs alone. Chris Warren, from WTCM, won the competition and donated all of his winnings to Toys For Tots which included $506 cash. A total of $856 cash was donated along with 105 toys.

December 10, 2012: Odawa Casino Hosts Diced Competition to Provide Donations for The Manna Food Project

Odawa Casino, owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, recently presented a $3,000 check to The Manna Food Project. Odawa Casino hosted the Diced Competition inside Ovation Hall. The competition paired local celebrities with local chefs in a cooking competition. Guests were able to taste some delicious appetizers that were directly from the competitors kitchens.

November 14, 2012: Odawa Casino Partners with Spartan Stores to Provide Donations for The Manna Food Project

Odawa Casino, owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, recently presented over 17,500 pounds of non-perishable food items to The Manna Food Project. Odawa Casino partnered with northern Michigan Spartan stores for a “Food for Play” promotion. During the six week promotion, guests could bring in five Spartan Store labeled can or dry goods and receive ten dollars in free slot play.

Odawa Casino, owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, recently presented World War II Veteran Gordon Wiitanen with a check for $500. The money will go towards the fundraising efforts to move the World War I Memorial from its current location at Mineral Well Park to Pennsylvania Park in downtown Petoskey.

Odawa Casino, owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, recently presented Emmet County Treasurer Marilyn May with a revenue sharing check for $516,390.79. The revenue sharing amount is based on two percent of the casino’s electronic gaming proceeds for the first half of 2012. The funding is used to support the education and public safety of Emmet County.
