Job Summary: Performs any combination of following duties to facilitate food service in our Fine Dining venues.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Represents Odawa Casino Resort in the most positive manner with internal and external guests to satisfy service expectations. Interacts effectively with a diverse group of guests and Team Members, learns and uses operating practices of the department and the organization.


  • Upholds Odawa Casino Resort Mission statement in all aspects of position: Odawa Casino Resort is committed to providing Guests with an exciting entertainment experience through exceptional customer service and hospitality. Odawa Casino Resort is committed to providing Team Members with a safe, consistent and enjoyable work environment that brings rewarding and challenging experiences.


  • Maintains upbeat and positive attitude; provides prompt, courteous service to restaurant guests.


  • Assists servers as necessary; pours water and offers bread.


  • Polishes glassware and silverware to ensure a spotless table setting; changes tablecloths and linens as needed.


  • Moves tables and chairs accordingly to accommodate reservations or impromptu seatings.


  • Has understanding of seating chart for the dining room.


  • Picks up orders for the expeditor in the order of there seating chart.


  • Takes orders to the proper tables and assists the server in their placement.


  • Works with the kitchen on the proper order of service for each table.


  • Works with the servers on ensuring guest satisfaction.


  • Helps maintain par levels of supplies and equipment for dining area; may replenish fruits for garnish, glassware, linens, china, silverware, paper supplies and sundries in their designated places.


  • Wipes down walls near bus cart and bus cart as necessary and at the end of the shift; sets bus carts up at beginning of shift and breaks down and cleans the bus cart and bus tubs at the end of shift.


  • Removes and properly disposes of all accumulated debris in the dining area as required.


  • Helps resolve guests issues if requested.


  • Smiles and engages guests with friendly conversation.


  • May sweep and mop floors.


  • Attends all meetings and training sessions as required.


  • Abides by all health codes and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.


  • Must be able to maintain neat and well groomed appearance in accordance with our grooming and appearance standards.


  • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English. Excellent customer service skills. Reliable and conscientious. Must be able to meet physical requirement such as significant lifting up to fifty (50) lbs, along with bending, reaching, stopping, pushing, and pulling. Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Must be able to meet Odawa Casino Resort internal training requirements. Must be flexible with shift and days off. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Pre-employment drug testing will apply to all selected applicants receiving an offer of conditional employment.
