David Wolf has over twenty-five years of diversified gaming experience working in local and regional gaming markets. Prior to joining Odawa Casino Resort, Wolf was employed by Legends Gaming as Corporate Vice-President of Planning and Analysis. Prior to working at Legends, Wolf served as Senior Director of Operations at the Isle of Capri Casino in Mississippi. Before that Wolf served in various executive positions around the country.
Wolf said, “Odawa Casino Resort presents some great opportunities and a few challenges. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work at this award winning property and look forward to becoming a part of the community. The area is beautiful and I hope as a team we can work together with our tribal leadership and community members to make this a business that truly represents this area and makes us all proud.”
Wolf is a graduate of Rider University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in both Accounting and Finance.
Melissa B. Richards is the new Director of Human Resources. Ms. Richards joins Odawa Casino Resort from Radio One, Inc. in Lanham, Maryland. Ms. Richards has over ten years of Human Resources experience including a position at Charles Town Race & Slots in Charles Town, West Virginia.
Regarding her return to the gaming industry Ms. Richards said, “Odawa Casino Resort offers a great opportunity to people who are looking for a career as opposed to just a job. I am very excited to help with this process and truly make Odawa Casino Resort the Employer of Choice. We will focus a lot of our energy on training to ensure that our Team Members are properly equipped so they may create a fun and safe environment for all that come through our doors.”
Richards has a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and has been a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and The American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).
Owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, the $140 million Odawa Casino Resort was named BEST CASINO IN MICHIGAN in 2009. The Petoskey resort opened in June, 2007 and features 1,500 slot machines, 29 table games, 5 table Poker Room, BINGO, several restaurants, gift stores, a nightclub and a 137-room hotel.
